About Peekadoodle Academy Preschool
STARTING FALL 2024 - NEW EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS FOR ACADEMY STUDENTS (8:00AM-3:30PM OR 8:00AM-5:30PM)
Peekadoodle Academy is a licensed preschool and Pre-K program open to children 27 months – 6 years of age, providing an unparalleled approach to early childhood education. Through a balanced approach curriculum, our school fosters independent and creative thinking through a balance of both guided exploration and play-based learning. Peekadoodle’s dedicated teachers encourage in our students a love for learning through curiosity and open play.
Our Pre-K program prepares students academically, socially and emotionally for kindergarten, while providing parents insight and guidance throughout the kindergarten admissions process for independent, parochial, and public schools. Each of our preschool programs is designed to be developmentally tailored to students both individually and as a group. We are guided by a balanced approach to learning that includes both teacher-guided exploration, as well as learning through play. Our goal is to prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond, while instilling a lifelong love of learning. You can read about our classes below. Each class is named for a friend of our Peekadoodle mascot, Pete.

Peekadoodle Academy Classes & Tuition
Fulton Frog [5 days a week, 3 HOURS A DAY, old 2’s]
As the children begin to turn 3 years old and attend school a few more days, the Fulton Frog class allows children to develop a sense of routine as well as independence. By anticipating “what comes next” in the school day, the children can independently navigate the classroom environment and embark on more cooperative play.
Margaret Mole [5 days a week, 3.5 hours a day, 3’s]
Our 3 year olds, the Margaret Moles, are ready to have more independence and drive their experiences based on choice and will. By giving these 3 year olds choice, they begin to discover what kind of learner they are and make decisions based on their interests. We also begin introducing the very basic foundation for literacy learning in this class.
Kendi Kangaroo [5 days a week, 4 hours a day, 4’s]
The Kendi class focuses on social emotional learning as well as peer scaffolding. As children turn 4, they begin to reconcile a lot of their big feelings and we plan a curriculum that supports learning about one another’s likes and differences. We also provide them the tools for social negotiation and focus on children’s literature as a venue for literacy learning.
Oswald Owl [5 days a week, 6 hours a day, pre-k 4’s & 5’s]
Our Oswald class is our early academic Pre-K that focuses on the forms and functions of early literacy and reinforces a strong sense of self in our students. Our intentional literacy program strengthens fine motor, early reading and writing, story telling, and phonemic awareness skills. Our goal is for the children to graduate our program completely prepared for the kindergarten experience!

Congratulations to our Peekadoodle class of 2022-2023! Our Pre-K class, the Oswald Owls, had an incredible admission season. All of our applicants received offers at their first-choice schools on decision day, with many receiving multiple offers.
